SILS technical specifications

Suspended Induction Loop System (SILS)
The SILS is specifically designed for use at a supermarket checkout, kiosk or deli-counter. The inductive field output extends from each side of the sign. This enables the hearing aid user to hear in a large area around the checkout, kiosk or deli-counter.

Loop amplifier
The DLS30 is a dedicated induction loop amplifier that covers an aera of approximatley 4 square metres when connected to SILS. The built in AGC circuit maintains a clear and constant level of sound this helps prevent the hearing aid from distorting.

Microphone
The microphone has been specifically designed to pick up sound directly below the SILS and reject unwanted extraneous background noise.

Loop amplifier features
Constant current output - Compensating
automatically for changes in loop impedance
Conforms to BS6083 pt4 and IEC 60118-4
Auto compensates for field strength changes
Loop sizes from 1m2 to + 4m2 connected to SILS
Multi turn loop
One microphone input and one auxiliary input
