The range of infra-red systems we provide for venues such as theatres,
business conference centres or as alternative to an induction loop
system come complete with an infra-red radiator, swivel mounting
bracket and power supply. With just one infra-red radiator the system
can be effective in a room up to 80m2 or 400m2. Kit options allow
you to mix and match microphone and stand options. Interconnecting
leads are provided to interface with existing PA (Public Address)
systems if present.
We can supply a 1-channel infrared transmission system enabling
the user to listen to mono sound at a volume to suit them directly
via infra-red stethofork headphones.

Introduction
When an infra-red transmission system is installed people who are
hearing impaired can use an infra-red stethofork headphone receiver
to hear sound. The infra-red radiator transmits a 2.3 or 2.8MHz
carrier wave of infra-red light. A beam of infra-red light is emitted
in a tear drop shape from the infra-red radiator (much like a torch
beam) it is reflected of all surfaces and fills the room. Some obstacles
may cause dead spots. A direct copy of the audio signal reaching
the microphone is picked up by the infra-red stethofork headphone
and the signal is converted back to sound for the wearer to hear.
